Recreational Programs

At Meg Ryan Sport Aerobics, we are so excited to welcome you to try something new. We offer the following recreational classes at MRSA:

  • Aerofit (Recreational Sport Aerobics)
  • Aerofit Skills (Specific skill training – perfect addition to an Aerofit class)
  • Acrobatics 

All recreational classes run in alignment with school terms. We welcome new athletes (ages 5+) to join at any stage throughout the year! The minimum commitment for all of these programs are one school term (or the remainder of the existing term for athletes who join late). 

Recreational classes are held at our Coorparoo studio.

We also offer regular holiday workshops and short-term recreational programs for school age children.

OUR RECREATIONAL CLASSES…

AEROFIT

Aerofit classes allow athletes to learn the foundations of sport aerobics in an encouraging environment. These classes are for beginner to intermediate level and provide a great introduction to sport aerobics or some extra experience and training for those students participating in sport aerobics programs at their school.

Athletes attend weekly 1 hour classes where they will learn new skills, increase flexibility & strength and learn their own routine.

Athletes then have the option to perform this routine as a solo or small team at one or both of our MRSA run competitions, QCup and MRSA Gala. This is the perfect low-commitment program and is an optimal introduction to club sport aerobics!

AEROFIT SKILLS

We have a dedicated skills class now on Fridays and Saturdays for athletes wanting to further develop their current skills and progress to more advanced skills. This class is also open to our elementary competition athletes.

This specialised class is designed to help athletes master key elements of sport aerobics, including dynamic jumps, seamless transitions, powerful presses, and advanced pushups.

It is the perfect add-on to an Aerofit class!

ACROBATICS

Take your skills to new heights with our Acrobatics class! Tailored for athletes aged 5 and up, this class blends traditional acrobatic techniques with the dynamic energy of sport aerobics.

Athletes will develop a strong foundation in acrobatic techniques that will assist them to perfect sport aerobic specific transitions, while emphasizing the fluidity and control needed to connect movements effortlessly. With a focus on strength, flexibility, and precision, this class will help you stand out with polished transitions and skills.

This class is perfect as a stand-alone class, or for new athletes, Aerofit athletes or competition stream athletes to add to their schedule.
